Jo-Ann L. Tremblay, is an ostomate, writer, blogger, life coach, trainer, speaker, photographer and artist. She is the author of 4 books; Better WITH a Bag Than IN a Bag – From the brink of death to recovery through humour and inspiration, Another BAG Another DAY – Creating a new Lease on Life in a New World, BAGs Around The World – Thoughts and words offering solace & inspiration to ignite the human spirit, The Self-Coaching Toolbox – Six tools for personal and profession growth & development.

Jo-Ann is a frequent contributor to ostomy related publications in Canada, United States, and the United Kingdom, and is an inspirational speaker on health, happiness and living life to the fullest. She writes and publishes THE OSTOMY FACTOR, a blog enjoyed by ostomates and non-ostomates worldwide, and has created and hosted the television special, That’s Life, hosted 2 television program series – and a radio program series, Voices of Our Town.

Jo-Ann is a member of the Ostomy Canada Society Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), her title “Ostomy Lifestyle Expert”. In this capacity Jo-Ann answers ostomy related questions on the Ostomy Canada Society websites’ “Ask The Ostomy Lifestyle Expert” http://www.ostomycanada.ca.

After a lengthy illness, in 2011 Jo-Ann underwent life saving surgery that resulted in the creation of a colostomy, she affectionately calls, “Percy Stoma”. Jo-Ann now joins in with fellow ostomates, their caregivers, medical experts and people in general, sharing her message of hope, inspiration, the realities of life, and the triumph of the human spirit, with a mix of humour, inspiration, and a large dollop of empathy, in the celebration of 2nd chances at creating and living a joyous quality of life, in spite of it all. Jo-Ann believes, everyone you meet has a story to tell.
